Fireworks

We went to see the fireworks—I mean afterall, the town was putting them on for Clara (ok, so it was for Christmas—but it worked out well to be for Clara’s birthday too :)

On the way the kids were pretending to be tied down to the train tracks.  What I love about the picture is that it looks like a train is in the distance coming!!  WATCH OUT!!

Clara loves the painted wall through West Monroe.  They have been working to restore it and Clara loves to go by from time to time to see the progress.  She was thrilled to be getting her picture taken with her friend the fence  :)

Afterwards we decided to walk antique alley and check it out while the traffic died down.  We very much enjoyed the windows and dancing lights.  The town has done a very good job (both sides of the river in fact!).  The above picture is one of my favorites because Lucy and Clara absolutely crack me up!!!  What attitude Lucy has and I have no idea what to even say about Clara!!  I love it!!

This was our favorite window—Doxy Dynasty.  They are dressed to look like Si, Phil, Willie, and Jase.  In person there were all kinds of details, ducks everywhere, Si’s tea glass, guns, etc that really made it a funny window.  You can see Lucy’s hand as she is pointing things out in the window.

I did not get any pictures of the fireworks, but they were very good.  We had a great spot, were with great friends, and had a lot of laughs—you just cant’ beat that!
