The girls and I had an awesome opportunity to tag along with a dear friend and her kids to Great Wolf Lodge for a few days during Homeschool Week. What a fabulous time we had!! Several other families from this area went as well and I’m thinking this needs to be a yearly event for sure!! I did not get a ton of pictures since I was playing in the water too! My phone has a cover that is waterproof, but I didn’t want to chance that too much :)
This was our first trip down to the water park. The excitement was palpable :)
Yep, that’s my girl!
Goofing off in the room. The room we had was awesome!! There was a loft which worked out great—the boys were upstairs and all us girls had the downstairs.
Our table both days was under the yellow slide, next to the beaver :) Not too often do you get to say that sentence and it makes sense. I even texted that a few times, and the people understood completely which cracked me up :)
I can not believe that I didn’t get more pictures of all the kids together—there was 11 from this area. They all played super well together, and made lots of friends while there as well! The above pic cracks me up!! The guy to the left had been napping there for a LONG time. J on the right decided that looked like a good idea and was pretending to nap next to him—you had to be there, but this was very funny LOL!
The people we met were awesome!! I know people who have been to Great Wolf Lodge at other times other than Homeschool week and said it was a totally different experience. I would go back during this time every year, it was awesome!! It was amazing to talk to the kids—we got to ride with so many other kids—all of which were pleasant, kind, SOCIAL (the whole unsocialized thing absolutely cracks us all up!)---these are the most social kids you will ever meet. They look you in the eye, can carry on a conversation with any age person, and are not at all intimidated to do so, are polite, and are really great kids!
We had so much fun with our friends too! It is not often you can say “lets go get flushed down the toilet!” and have it make sense and sound like a great idea! We walked up about a gazillion stairs, rode the rides so many times (not long lines at all), walked across lily pads (way harder than it looks and my body is still sore from my attempts), climbed on beavers and snakes, played water basketball, experienced the wave pool, hot tubs, lazy river, and fun park area! The outside park was not open, however, there didn’t seem to be too much out there and I suspect we would have hung out indoors most of the time even if the outdoor park was open.
