Skelly

The time finally came to take Skelly out of his spa treatment Sick smile

The smell was not pretty, as you can imagine!  I was quite surprised though at how effective the water/soap mixture was at removing the flesh.  In fact, it was so effective that I really should have taken lots of pictures before the spa so I had a better  idea of where all these bones went!

Above is what Skelly has been reduced to.  We were not super anal about making sure we did not drain out lots of small bones, but we did get lots of little bones and all the bigger ones.

Clara was manning the camera at this point---too cute!

Next we dug out each individual bone to clean off and put them in the handy dandy ice tray.

There’s Skelly  Green with envy

The most tedious part was cleaning each bone—small and larger with soap and a tooth brush (old ones of course).

I love the pictures Lucy got.  She stood on a chair to get the areal shot.

And there is Skelly—clean!  As we were cleaning him Clara commented that she was sure he had never cleaned his bones before.  I said of course not, have you?  She said no, but that our bones were cleaned by the blood of Jesus.  So true dear girl—she can be so much smarter than me so often  :)  I never thought of that before—but He washed us clean, so why wouldn’t that include our bones too  Smile
