Inside the foot, this was a little room (see that door to the right, that is the only way in or out). They used to store the gun powder in here, but they figured out it was just too damp in this room for that so, they converted it to a prison for a time and eventually walled it up. When it was excavated they did find bones in here---what a horrible way to go...
Clara is preaching in the forts chapel.
Lucy was so proud of herself for putting her butt in the canon :) She talked about this all day and when I was downloading the pics, this is the one she wanted to see the most. Glad it was such a highlight for her (haha). At least there is something to help her remember our visit to the fort :)
Clara was pretending to really be shooting. She had sound effects and I really should have gotten this on video as it was hilarious!!
