Dollywood

We really weren't anticipating going to Dollywood while we were in Pigeon Forge, honestly, I never thought about it being open being the winter time. When asking people where they would recommend we go, everyone said a must see is Dollywood! I am so glad we took their advice--it was wonderful!!! Such a great, family friendly place. It really "felt" good there and we all enjoyed it very much!!

We were told the best way to get there was to park for free and take a trolley. It saves $4 total by doing it this way and the girls really enjoyed the trolley ride too ;) It was fun when we were leaving the park too, they kept saying they get one last ride---the trolley ;)

There they are on the trolley. We couldn't wait to see the girls reaction to what all the day had in store for them...

We made it, and it was well worth it!!

They had the cutest decorations at every turn. It had the right balance of whimsical and gorgeous!! Especially at night---oh what a sight that was!

At night we went up on the Ferris Wheel. Neither Mike nor I are big fans of those---and this didn't change our opinions of them :) The girls really enjoyed them and the view of all the lights was amazing!! I would turn my head though, so I only saw what lights were in front of us. I was amazed how much turning my head would rock that darn thing!! I was concerned about how Clara would react as she is normally afraid of heights. Not here though, she loved it and wasn't the least bit nervous. I kept saying "be still!" and I had a tight grip on her the whole time and did a lot of praying---we were all good and saturated in the blood of Christ by the time I was done with ride :)
