Out and About

We drove through Gatlinburg as we were driving around looking at lights and Clara was so taken by the sky needle. She has never seen one before and she must of said 100 times how much she wanted to go up there, so the following day we spent walking around Gatlinburg, and she got her wish...

Weird being in top of a sky needle (not a short one either) and still having houses and stuff higher than you are :) What a view from up here though. It was a rainy day, so that kind of stunk, but we really enjoyed it here :)

When the rain got too bad, we headed indoors, and we found this awesome place that wasn't too expensive where they had 10 things to choose from to do. The girls got to play laser tag and this was a huge hit!! I really never thought about them liking this before, but now we know they love it!!! They also got to play on bumper cars---another big hit! We saw a 3 D movie, that was lousy though, then we played put put in a black light underwater place that was super cool. Made me a bit dizzy after a while though, but we enjoyed that. Lucy does a great job with put put and Clara still finds hitting the ball with the putter as just being optional ;)

Lucy won in laser tag.

Walking around Gatlinburg---a very impressive town. I now understand why so many people go there for vacation to get married or for a honeymoon----it was really awesome! The Christmas decorations too were stunning. They really go all out!!

When the rain drove us out of walking we decided to go check out Cades Cove. That was great and the girls really enjoyed seeing all deer up close and personal :) There were so many deer, it was amazing!!
