Let It Snow

Since we were heading to Ohio in the winter we were hoping (and praying) we would get to experience snow.  The weather forecast before heading there was not looking promising for that, but God came through BIG TIME!!  In fact, we joked with everyone there that we would be more specific with our prayers next time and give Him a stopping date  LOL  It snowed so much that we were supposed to stop and see friends that moved about an hour from there from LA not long after we moved here—it was going to be a great break and we would hang out with them for a little while.  But due to the snow and road conditions when we were leaving we had to cancel those plans…  good thing too, as it took us an additional 3 hours of drive time that first day driving back (to Nashville).

The girls learned the importance of SNOW PANTS!!  They were able to borrow some (see how big they are on Clara—LOL).

This was the first time out, before snow pants and the thrill of seeing the most snow they have ever seen at one time!  This was our first day in OH.  We went to bed with a chance of snow, and awoke to a few inches.  Got to watch it coming down while drinking coffee—it was so pretty!  I realized that I do miss it—a little!!

Clara was obsessed with eating the snow.

Snow kept freezing to the bottom of Clara’s shoes and giving her reverse heals.  It was hilarious to watch her walk that way!!

Clara also found out that snow gets EVERYWHERE!!!

Clara was also obsessed with icicles.

I was so impressed with our Southern kids!!  They hung just as well as the Northern kids!  Didn’t whine about being cold (didn’t even notice the cold with all the fun they were having) and spent HOURS outside playing for a few days!!  They had great attitudes and were eager to try new things.  Several people commented on that too!
