House Church Camp Out

A couple of weeks ago we went camping with our House Church group.  I use the word “camping” loosely here—as one of the families in our group has a family “cabin” out on Caney Lake (its ginormous—so it cracks me up when they call it the “cabin”).  It’s always a good time when we go out there, and this time was no different.

Swimming, shooting, good food, fellowship—what more could you want??!!!  :)

Not far from the cabin, our friend had permission to shoot on the land.  It was a great spot, and considering how expensive shooting ranges get, this was awesome!!  We love the show Top Shot and we felt like we were on that show with the targets!  We had a scope and a target that exploded on impact.  It was very Mythbusterish  :)  The cheapest and most fun targets were full soda cans!  Shake them up and get them good and ready, and when you shoot that, they go flying!!  Love that instant gratification!  Hitting the targets is fun too, but you have to wait until you are done shooting to go to the target to see exactly how you did—with the can, you either hit it or you don’t!

Clara opted out of shooting to stay and swim, but Lucy wasn’t going to miss this for nothing!  She was so excited!

Another good thing with shooting with friends is you get to play with everyone’s toys  :)  There were some really fun guns to shoot!

Lucy is an excellent shot!  We were all very impressed!
