Clara’s Camp

Clara got to go to Camp Ch-Yo-Ca to sleep over from Sunday night to Friday evening!  It was a long time away from home!  We missed her terribly and Lucy’s way of dealing with it was to talk non stop the entire time she was away!!  It was really difficult for me not to see or talk to Clara for the whole week, but I knew she was having a great time.  I love that the camp would post pictures every day so we could get a small glimpse into their days and see her smiling face!

I did go up to the camp twice to deliver mail to her (she got letters from me, Daddy, Lucy, the cats, Bella, and even her fish missed her enough to write a letter)  When a camper gets mail they have to dance for it!

There’s Clara’s cabin!

Wed was water day!  I do wish they had a picture of her outfit on Tuesday.  We went to drop off mail and saw from a distance Clara playing kick ball—in boots!!  I told her not to pack her cowgirl boots, or this other pair she wears all the time, but I never mentioned the ankle black boots—and sure enough that is what she was wearing.  A friend of mine was at camp that day and texted me “Clara is rocking the boots today”.  Got to love it—she sure does have her own style!!

When we got there to pick her up she spotted us before we spotted her and I was about tackled!!  It was the most awesome hug/welcome ever!!!  I missed her so much!!

We were very impressed with this camp!  It is affiliated with our church, however, anyone can go.  In fact, there was a much larger turn out than usual apparently because people were hoping their kids would get to go to camp with the Robertson’s  :)  I noticed that lesser known family members were dropping their kids off, and it was amazing to watch the sons who helped out there get bombarded by fans.  By the end of the sessions though the hoopla seemed to die down :)
