I had a wonderful Mother’s Day again this year! Every year I have two wonderful kids that are immense blessings to me is a great Mother’s Day!!
A few days before the big Sunday Mike took us to one of our most favorite restaurants for dinner—Sage. Yummy!! This is us outside, all excited about the yumminess we are getting ready to experience :)
On Sunday, I was feeling better mentally after taking myself off the evil antibiotic! (I just got off the phone with the dr. and they are putting it down as something I am allergic to and calling me in something totally different!). Anyway, we got some work done in the garage (rec room)—still have tons of stuff to sort and organize in there. We have our homeschool book sale this week and I felt so much better getting organized and ready for that so that was a wonderful “gift”! Then we went to see Iron Man 3 and dinner. Oh my goodness—what an incredible movie!!! We all enjoyed it very much!! We want to go back and see it again and we never would spend the money to see the same movie twice unless it was just that awesome!! Wow, that was good :)
My goal for Mother’s Day was getting the pool good to go—and that happened, so I am thrilled! I wanted that ready too, so we could start having people over (this way kids can swim!). We still have a little work to do with the trim around the pool because when they put in the new pool it didn’t match up to the deck perfectly. Mike has to go in and trim out the pool, which isn’t a huge deal, but is a safety hazard for sure (and was proven today when Clara fell with one leg down between the pool and deck!!) She wasn’t badly injured, more scared than anything, but she was very lucky as that could have been really bad! Today Mike is off to Lowes to get the wood for that project as we scheduled our first party for Memorial Day!! I’m so excited to start entertaining. I know this house/pool/yard are going to function wonderfully for entertaining and I can’t wait to see it in action :)
