Salty

One of Clara’s friends had a pool party which the girls had a lot of fun at.  The pool was salt water and it was interesting to experience some of the differences.  We have been reading up on salt water pools (as we are planning on converting the pool at the new house from chlorine, to salt—and this party helped to confirm that).

Some of the differences we noticed were that there was no odor or eye burn being in this indoor room with the pool.  It was still warm and humid of course, but wasn’t uncomfortable.  Mike really noticed the difference with that as he gets to feeling so run down when he is around chlorine!  He left here after 3 hours feeling fine.  The girls skin was soft afterwards and not all dried out.  The water did not burn their eyes and nose. All good things—in addition to being much better for you, it comes out to be cheaper to have a salt water pool as opposed to all the chemicals.  Yay—got to love those win-wins!  We would love to switch the hot tub to salt as well—all in time…  :)
