We ordered our cow eyeballs a while back and as we were planning the dissection day with the family we do CC with more and more wanted to join in. The whole thing became a party! As far as we are concerned—it was a perfect party—what fun!!
It was a total of 4 families—9 kids. We had to ease them into it—so we started easy with a worksheet and went through and discussed each part of the eye and what its purpose is.
One of the Mom’s is an Occupational Therapist and was able to answer some questions about what all could go wrong. For instance—are there conditions out there in which the imagine doesn’t flip right side up in the brain, but remains upside down? YES!! She told us of several other conditions she was aware of and the difficulty diagnosing them in little ones. Made us all realize, yet again, how much we take for granted and how blessed we truly are! A prayer of thanks for sure—God, thank You for our health, our eyesight, and the wonderful blessing that truly is!!
We never have soda at home. Every time we go over to this house, my friend always has sodas and Clara is in heaven! She is happily sucking away :)
My friend is leading the lesson with a power point presentation.
Notice how all the kids are all smiles—until the gore begins! Bwahahahah!!! I love it!
