Crawfish Day

Crawfish dissection day finally was upon us  :)  The girls were excited—well, at least Clara was!

The anticipation!!

We studied the external anatomy first.

A bit out of order here as some of these pictures came from my friend—but here is Clara with her fully dissected specimen as he (and yes, it was a he) was on his way to the trash.

The older girls were less in to it, but really enjoyed it once we got going.

Lucy didn’t care for the idea of now using them for lunch :)

This was getting ready to start—don’t they look thrilled  LOL!

That is a look of pure faking it—”sure, I’m excited, can’t you tell!”

I love this picture!!  All suited up!!  S has passed out at the sight of blood before and all things gross, so this is a HUGE deal for her to do a dissection.  She did a great job, I love the suit!  She was prepared!!

Happy Birthday Mike, Lucy and Stacey.
October is the birthday month for the Herrings; 1st, 13th and 16th. Clara broke the chain being born in December like her Pops.
Happy Birthday again and may all of your Birthday wishes come true.

We love you,
Nonnie & Pops
