The trail ride we decided to go with was Bear Creek--and it was fabulous!! Great guide, awesome horses (very healthy--unlike Mike and I's experience in Jamaica!), the trail was long and windy and we got to see mountains, colors, the river, and everything in between :)
This was the girls as we were waiting for the other family to get there so we could all get up on the horses.
Clara getting up on Trixie. She hopped up there like a pro!
They did give her shorter stirrups so she could more easilly reach.
Lucy was so happy to be getting back up on a horse. It's been a long time and she sure does miss it!
This is after the ride (you will see more about the ride in following posts). Clara did a great job!! Talked non stop and provided commentary :)
Lucy was on Maggie. A great, even tempered horse, perfect for such a ride!
Lookin' good!! Lucy had to wear this shirt for the horse ride--she felt it made her look cowgirlish :)
Yep, there I am. Mike and Lucy were behind me and they kept telling me to straighten out, as I apparently tend to lean to one side or the other on a horse. I knew I did that in Jamaica, but thought it was because of the terribly skinny horse I was on (and I had to sit to one side of the spine), but apparently it is just me :) I felt like I was straight LOL!
Mike was on Rusty and they got along very well. They had quite the conversation throughout the ride!
There we are, in all our glory! It was perfect weather, and a perfect time spent with my favorite people in all the world!!
