Every other day this program does exercise with the kids. It was clear that the kids love this---even the ones grumbling about it had smiles at one point or another :)
Our kids joined right in with them.
After exercise we went outside to play. I am going to do a separate post of those pics—well of the kids there---what beautiful kids!!
This was a spoon game where they had to keep their eyes closed and when heads was flipped at the front the kids at the beginning would squeeze hands and they had to continue the squeeze down the row and the last person would get squeezed and grab the spoon. If they were first the last person went to the beginning and the row that went through all their kids first was the winners. It was as much fun to watch as it was to play :)
Sam and Pam led the kids in a devotional.
We were coloring and drawing with the kids and one little boy kept asking me to draw various things. I love this picture of me because I know what is going on in my head is “you want me to draw what??!!” Then figure out how to draw it :) Fortunately Lucy joined in soon after this and I was able to give her the ones that I couldn’t figure out and soon the boy just skipped me and would ask Lucy to do all the drawing LOL!
There is Heather and Lucy drawing.
Here’s the finished work of art this young man has :) Every kind of animal you could think of I’m pretty sure LOL!
This was nice to hang out with the kids inside and color/draw and get to chat with them! We had all played so hard outside in the heat that this was so refreshing and certainly a lot of fun!
I love the bond that all the kids that went together on this trip made! Not all of them knew each other beforehand. In fact, my kids only knew 3 kids on the trip previously. It was a nice mix of kids too and everyone got along wonderfully!
One song they do with the kids is “baby shark”. Our kids picked up on that and have run with it ever since! It goes through different hand motions for baby shark, brother shark, mother shark, father shark, grandma shark etc. The kids added a Six Flags shark for that part of our trip. Two days ago at the pool here I told the girls it was time to leave and Lucy did a “sad shark”. It was so funny!!
