The Standing Broom

There for a while you couldn’t go anywhere online and not see brooms standing up on their own.  Supposedly it was due to the spring equinox.  I thought we needed to give it a try and take this “teachable moment”.

I tried first and was unsuccessful.  Clara followed my lead, to no avail.

Mike is such the man though!!!  He took over and got it to stand up with ease!

Ouhhh, ahhh --looky there!

I have to say, Felix seems very unimpressed by this feat!

The girls just got goofy (which isn’t hard to do) for a while with the standing broom  LOL!  We moved the broom to an area that wasn’t right in the middle of everything and it stayed standing all night long.  We looked up the “phenomenon” and found out this can happen any time and had nothing to do with the equinox.  We have since tried the broom “trick” and have had no trouble getting it to stand (even I have managed to get it to work).  Oh well, it was still fun  :)
