Ready for Santa!

In this house the kids are on the other side of the living room from where we are.  Our tradition is that they can not see what Santa brought (if he came at all :) until they are with us.  So, this year we had to have a sleep over in our room.  The girls are much too big for all of use to sleep in the big bed, so they got all snug on the floor.  They camped out with all their animals, pillow pets, sleeping bags, and a computer to track Santa with.

Our plan was to make cookies as usual, but that didn’t happen.  We were all pretty much over the sweets too (we did make a brownie cake for Jesus’ birthday cake though, but we didn’t cut that until Christmas day).  We did however make turkey jerky, so we felt that it was probably a better health choice for the big guy anyway----so there is our protein packed Santa snack---milk and turkey jerky  :)

I got up at some point and found that Lucy was in the big bed with me and Mike was on the floor with Clara.  If you look close you can see Bella up to the right (below is a close up---she’s just too cute not to take a picture of too  :)

We all had a decent sleep.  It rained horribly, but Santa remained on schedule!
