The Big 11!

I don’t know how it happened----just about over night I believe, but our oldest turned 11!!  She is turning into this beautiful young lady---both outside, but more importantly inside too!  Lucy is incredibly bright and very sharp---not much gets past her.  It has been a privilege to watch her learn and really see how her brain works!  Lucy has a big heart, loves God and family, and she is being blessed with some really great friends (that we hope we won’t have to move away from for a while….).

Last year, my dear friend Kim sent us the banner hanging on our mantle (it is hard to see in the bad picture quality here---I think I must have had the camera set to something it shouldn’t have been), but it says “Happy Birthday”.  She also sent one that says “Lucy” and one for “Clara”.  They are precious and it was fun to pull it out again as our birthday tradition!

Lucy had a wonderful birthday (that lasted a good week as usual) and still had her birthday party to look forward to  (and I will eventually get to blogging that).

Favorite color:    green, blue, and purple  (she has “created a color too called blurple that she saw on a car and loves!)

Favorite subject:  math

Favorite toy:  Littlest Pet Shops, when asked which one is her favorite she got very dramatic and said “Don’t make me choose!”

What do you want to be when you grow up?  Some type of designer (cake, homes, clothes---any type of design she loves).

Favorite website:  Pinterest, our blog, LPS

Favorite food:  sushi, burgers, bacon and breakfast casserole (which is what she had me make her for her birthday dinner).

Can you tell she has a difficult time just picking one of anything  Smile

Favorite TV show:  she doesn’t watch much tv.  Oh wait, she excitedly yelled out Good Eats----we do love us some Alton Brown!!

Favorite animal: cat, horse, and dog.

Favorite thing to do is hang out with her friends, and if you can incorporate some kind of craft with that (especially jewelry making) then she is even happier!

There’s the Pumpkin Bread from an earlier post with the melted candles.  It was delicious and we all enjoyed it very much.  I made it healthier and no one was the wiser!  This worked great for a “cake” and then for breakfast the next day, and desert again the following night  LOL  We got our use out of it for sure!  Yummy!  I am blogging this as dinner cooks and I am HUNGRY   LOL  My mouth is watering  Smile
