In Vicksburg we went to one of the battlefields to get a good view from above of the river. Clara was really taking it all in! The child has such a heart!! Her immediate response to things is to pray (which should be all of our initial response---but for her it truly is) and she was so prayerful for all the people, business, homes, and animals here!
This upset us! No idea if they are wild dogs or what, but it just reminded us all of the more of all the pets and wild animals that are affected in disasters such as this flood and tornadoes as well!
We were fortunate to find locals at each of our locations and we were told that the water closest in this pic is right next to a road and is not supposed to be there at all. This is an inlet area, but the water is much higher than it should be! I do want to go back to Vicksburg as there is so much history there and museums and battlefields, etc. and I hope to get a "normal" day picture from here one day---soon hopefully for their sakes!
