Nashville, TN

The family had an incredible view from their room of Nashville!!! I bet it was incredible at night!!!

We went to see the Parthenon. Unfortunately it was closed so we only got to see the outside. it was great to see the magnitude of such a place---as that will help us all as we are learning about history and the Bible to know that when we read about a temple being built to another god (i.e. a demon) they went ALL OUT!!!! I would have loved to have seen the full size statue of Athena that is inside. We were watching a movie---Percy Jackson, and they went here which was cool as we were just there :)

It is interested for educational reasons to see such a place, but it saddens me and sickens me actually that we are still erecting such temples. Granted this was built for a state fair over 100 years ago, but it still represents the same thing as it did back when they were being built and used for the worship of other gods (in this case the demon god Athena). In the Bible the Lord commanded that these places be destroyed---He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and His opinion hasn't changed at all!!

The doors were amazing!! Solid metal!! On either side of the building it had these huge double doors.

The detail was amazing!! The tent I am in front of is for a wedding reception that was taking place.
