First Performance

Today was the girls first performance since starting at Emmanuel Arts where they take ballet and hip hop. We have been very pleased with them there and we are hoping to be able to keep them in it---they both LOVE it!!

Clara has been talking all week about how she is going to perform. I tried to explain to her that it was going to be in the same place and not on a stage, but she didn't get that part. So, she was disappointed that she didn't get to go on a stage, but she LOVED performing all the same!

Lucy has gained much confidence in front of an audience. She used to just scratch her nose and play with her hair when she got up in front, but now she holds her own :) Partly I believe she has grown out of it and partly because in Classical Conversations they have to present for 2 min each week, and I have really seen where she has gained confidence with this.

I do have video and will have to get it down to the right size to add it to the blog, so I don't know if that will get done today or not. They both did very well. I like that this is not a high pressure atmosphere as I know some of the other schools are.
