13th Anniversary

On the 14th Mike and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe it has been that long---and if I had to do it all over again I would in a heartbeat :)

We had an "interesting" time this year. Mike lost his job that day! He came home and I was all excited "Happy Anniversary Honey" and he looked so pale. I thought he must not be feeling well. Then he told me and everything got real slow and surreal. You could have told me I was dreaming and I would have believed it---it felt so not real! Yet, it is...

It took about a day for the shock to wear off and Mike went in to clear out his desk. He has been with Parker for 8 years and it has been very good for him and we are thankful for the time he had with them. Unfortunately, there is always a few bad apples in the bunch and that was the case here---and one of those bad apples didn't care for Mike----so, here we are. God would have never allowed that to happen though if He didn't have something else already worked out for us that will be even better. Now, when I say "better" that may not be the typical picture of better, i.e. more money, better position. It may, we just don't know. We do know though that Rom. 8:28 God promises us that He will turn the bad the enemy tries to destroy us with into something good! God is faithful and He has certainly shown us this in the past and we expect no less from Him here too.

We have some wonderful prayer warriors interceding on our behalf and that blesses us so much! We have felt God take over and the truth is, there is some excitement in starting a new chapter. We don't know what the near future will look like, and granted it may get worse before it gets better, but it's new and we know God has it and us!

We have been blessed with 10 weeks of severance pay and there is one week week he had left of vacation. Beyond that we will just have to see...

I can't wait to post our praise report :)
