Visiting Fort Matanzas in St. Augustine was fascinating and to Clara it was all about saving the princess who was obviously locked in a tower somewhere in this "castle". :) She was intent on finding the princess our whole visit here :) The draw bridges were really cool.
Our last night we walked around the outside of the fort and very much enjoyed that and Lucy was so upset that the fort was closed, so we came back the next morning to tour the inside too. The girls really enjoyed this "adventure" and we all learned a lot!!!
I love homeschooling!! This counts as a school day/field trip :) I will have Lucy write a paper about what she learned here as well.
