Happy Halloween

This was the first Halloween that Clara was fully aware of what was going on. The concept of going to people's houses and getting candy was absolutely thrilling to her!!! Lucy knew what she was going to be getting, and she loved it yet again!

Clara informed me early on in the day that she had no desire to be a karate girl again. We had this princess dress that Lucy wore one year and so I told her she could wear that. She loves to wear it around the house, so we knew it would fit well :) I also told the girls I could make them look like cats---so on went some whiskers, a nose and i did their hair to look like ears :)

When I first did their hair they were so excited! They would not leave the mirror and this quickly became a wrestling match (as most things do). The girls LOVE to wrestle. It was quite noisy as my friend Cheryl will attest to since she was on the phone with me :) This went on for a LONG time too :) So, the cat ears were definitely a big hit!!

This house right down the road had scary music playing and you can see the reaction of Lucy to that :) I didn't get a picture later on, but there was one other house in the neighborhood that was really freaky and they have a long front yard. Clara did not stop from going to get the candy, but she sure did run and scream afterwards!!

Does she look tired? This was a BIG night!! Clara was exhausted and we hadn't even finished up the neighborhood when she said she was tired and wanted to come home. They have enough candy to last them the whole year. Once we got home Lucy helped me hand out candy for the rest of the evening.
