Beached!

We had the opportunity to go to Myrtle Beach this past weekend, and we figured since all our birthday's (well almost all) are in Oct. it would be a good time to go and do this instead of a costly birthday party for Lucy. We asked her first and she was all about going to the beach instead :)

We were really blessed the first day we got there it was fairly early and we were able to check into the hotel early and we had nice enough weather to enjoy the beach. The rest of the time was cold and rainy so this was a true blessing!!

We all had a great time collecting shells and sticks and digging and building in the sand. There was hardly anyone on the beach too so we had lots of room to run around and play. It was really great!!
The girls dug a bit a hole here and laid in it and watched the tide roll in. They eventually got run out of their hole :)
The water was quite cold at first, but really after a minute or so it felt great. Mike and I didn't necessarily plan on getting in, but Clara was going in with or without us and without wasn't an option---so in we went. We all had a great time bouncing in the waves. Nothing touched me that I couldn't identify so I was happy about that :)

The girls really surprised us with their zeal to jump into the waves. Lucy and Clara were both being drug down by the waves and pulled under and they thought this was GREAT!! We thought it might scare them, but it didn't in the least.

We got to spend about four hours out here and it was a great time!! I had a cold for our trip but the sea air really did me a lot of good which was great!
