
We had a hay ride that the girls very much enjoyed! We really got to see the farm this way too :)
Always making friends! My girls have never really met a stranger :) It makes me laugh when I hear the "socialization" argument against homeschooling :)
We got to pick a bag each of apples. We have LOTS of apples now!! We will juice some, and have already eaten some---yummy!! We have been learning this month all about apples and how they grow, so it was cool to then see the apples on the trees and picked them off ourselves.I have other pictures to blog (probably not tonight though). We had a special treat for this field trip---Daddy got to go with us! Today is Mike's birthday and when we saw this was scheduled on the same day he decided to celebrate with the day off and a trip to the apple farm. We had a great time and he had a great birthday!! The girls woke him up this morning (exactly what you want for your birthday right :) and had a "party" for him downstairs---complete with streamers and decorations. They were so excited about him opening up his gifts! The girls each picked him out a shirt and as much as I asked Clara to not tell Daddy what we got him---the cat got out of the bag so to say. She did tell him "Daddy, I'm not supposed to tell you about the shirts we got you." So, she tried...
