The first class with the K4-K5 is PE and it was rainy today so we were inside. The kids were learning about stretching and our muscles. We "woke up" each part of our body and it was so cute watching these little ones all participating so excitedly!
Clara got paired up with Daniel for their stretch. He is 5 and quite a bit bigger, so they couldn't go foot to foot, but they made it work :)
How cute is he??!!! Joseph thought the music was a bit too loud so he hung out with me on my lap. He saw me taking pictures of the other kids and wanted in on the action too.
We only had six kids today because some were out sick. It was a great group though, although we sure did miss the ones that were out!
It was so funny--one little girl, Selena wanted to sit on my lap while I was reading them a story, and then when the story was over she turned around and I got the best hug time ever!! Clara was watching and she started to get a bit jealous and came up and said "That is my Mommy." I assured her that I was still her Mommy, but she needed to share me for a few minutes. She stood back and watched and then said again "That is my Mommy." In case we missed it of course. As soon as Selena got down off my lap, Clara was jumping up in my lap to secure her spot as my daughter. It was too cute!!
Since being Clara's teacher at the co-op and starting school at home, Clara and I have a new bond now that I LOVE! She has always been very loving and sweet, but when Daddy is home she wants Daddy!! She wants to sit with him at dinner, to hold his hand in parking lots and stores and to just be all about Daddy. Now, she is all about Mommy and I have to admit I am loving it :) She still gets lots of Daddy time too.
