I took the parental units and sis to Lake Lure. I figured that they did not want to spend more time in a car so a boat ride was just right. Of course dad loved being on a boat which could only be topped by riding on a train but, that is 2 hours one way. Anyway they loved the houses on the lake and the stories of the old farm truck that was raised from the bottom of the lake.
