Lake Lure

We went on a tour of Lake Lure and both girls got to drive the boat. When we were here over a year ago on a business trip Lucy got to hold the wheel then, but this man actually let them steer and drive. They thought this was really something!! They both did a great job!

As usual, Lucy took the job very seriously and she was determined to drive that boat perfectly :) (and she did)

Clara thought it was so cool, but didn't fully have the concept that she was in control of the boat. I am guessing the man thought she was older (most people do) and maybe would have thought twice about letting go if he knew she was only three :)

This is the "Million Dollar View" and man is it!!! They say the sun sets right in the center there and glistens off the lake. Oh, what a sight that must be.

We had a bag of food for the ducks and Clara was really looking forward to that! Lucy enjoys feeding the ducks, but after the duck attack incident from when she was 3 (man, that was FUNNY), she is not as in to the ducks as Clara is ;)

We saw this horse from the boat and he was still there when we got off and of course the girls were drawn right to him. I love this picture :)
