A House Full :)

My sister and her family are moving to Texas and we were so excited that they were going to get to stay here with us for a couple of nights!

I gave all the cousins several different options for where to sleep—and it cracked me up that they all choose the bathroom.  We have a very odd bathroom layout—with carpet and a series of rooms---so it certainly worked.  The kids liked that they kitten room is right off this room they were in (I’m sure that had a large part to play in the decision process of where to sleep).  Lucy did not stay in there, as she is a night owl and eventually came out to hang with me after Felix made quite a scene!!

We had put out sticky traps for spiders.  We thought we had them in good areas that the cats would not get them, but with all the kids piled in the bathroom I guess Felix was getting himself into some odd spots in there as well.  Apparently he stepped in a trap with his back right paw and these traps are GOOD at what they do!!  He FREAKED out!!!  Ran in circles around the kids slamming into everything and making a huge racket!!  All the kids slept through this!  You know they were EXHAUSTED because this was LOUD!!  Then he came flying through our room and out the door which was only opened a small crack.  So the noise of him running, with the sticky trap on his paw, trying to race through a crack—well, it was very loud!  We couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on!  Lucy came out and told me it was Felix freaking out.  We looked for him and finally found him in a dark corner on the couch (not an easy task to find a black cat in a dark corner!).  We were loving on him when we noticed the trap on his paw!  We laughed and laughed!!  He was not seeing the humor in it at all—but it was hilarious!  He kept trying to walk with this thing on and it was pathetic!  We had to cut the thing off!  He was not at all happy with us!  I wish I had this on video, but sadly I do not.

Addie was thrilled to have other little girls to play with, to do hair with, to do nails with, and be carried by  :)

I did not get many pictures—but I know that Uncle Brian got a lot and from what I saw he got some really awesome shots!!  I can’t wait until they are settled enough for him to get those to us!  The kids had a great time playing together in the pool!  It was so nice to get to visit with my sister and Brian and see those kids!!  We are excited that they will be a bit closer and we will get to see them more often!!

The final farewell!
