Yesterday was the Trunk or Treat at church. Each house group has a station, and we served popcorn and cotton candy—as well as the usual candy. It was packed—and a lot of fun!! The only regret is that we were so busy from the moment we all got there that we never got a picture of all our house group together in our costumes. We had a superhero theme (for the adults—kids could be whatever they wanted). We had a great turn out and it was a whole lot of fun!! The food too—oh my goodness, this church COOKS!! We ate all kinds of gumbo, red beans and rice, deer chili, sausage, a bunch of stuff on a stick—etc. We definitely left there full!!
I wanted to get a picture with some of the Robertsons, but it didn’t happen. We were just too busy! Miss Kay was Cleopatra, and Si and Jep were themselves LOL!!
Clara was a cat. This doesn’t show her face make up very well at all :(
Lucy borrowed a cheer leading outfit from a friends Mom and went as a Cheerleader with attitude. She had to wears some layers underneath as it got cold out!
Mike was Captain America and I was his female counterpart—Mrs. America :) I made the top and my cape and Mike did the shields. The sweatshirt above is one of my old ones from before losing weight. It worked as a perfect base :)
Da da da da….don’t you feel safer with us around :)
Look how handy the shield is—I can block the sun!
I love these two pictures because of the cheerleader with ATTITUDE!! Doesn’t she play the role well—maybe a bit TOO WELL!!
We didn’t see much of Lucy once we got there—she found her friends and was off!!
Here’s a better shot of Clara’s face make up. She has been wearing the ears for a week now!
Besides all the wonderful food, great friends and fellowship, a great opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus, there were games too!!
Lounging at home afterwards, in a sugar high :)
