At the Lake

This past week was crazy busy!!  We had a get away to the Lake with our House Church group!  One family in the group has a huge cabin at a lake about an hour from here.  So much came against this trip, it became comical!  First we had it set for another weekend and had to change it, then this trip got canceled for a funeral, but then the funeral got postponed so it was back on, but some people had made other plans by then.  We could only go for one night of the weekend because we had made plans for the following night too.  Then one family had illness in their family and couldn’t make it.  Two families were out of town, and during that first night one boy got very sick with a stomach bug and they ended up leaving at about 1 am :(

Our big issue (which wasn’t that big) was that Clara had left Little Sheepy there!  This is traumatic for our family though.  I had texted them to look for and bring Little Sheepy home, but they were unable to find him!  Mike, being the fabulous father that he is, took the girls back Sunday morning to find, and save, Little Sheepy!!  I stayed home in order to get ready for leaving the following day on vacation.  It took them all of about 2 minutes to find the sheep!!  He had gotten in the crack of a recliner.  Clara was THRILLED!!  It was a good lesson for her though!  I am always telling her I don’t’ want her bringing him certain places because he can get lost or left.  This convinced her and she never asked to bring him (or any of her other special animals) on our vacation.  She was so creative and I am so proud of her—while we were away she had all her animals set up on her bed (the ship) and they went on a Disney cruise while we were away.  She couldn’t’ wait to get home and hear all about their adventures!

Hard to get a good shot with the sun behind us…

So we moved!

We didn’t realize until after the pictures were taken that one of the kids wasn’t there---he was down by the lake…

It was a great time of fellowship and fun!  We are very blessed with a great group of friends to share our faith and families with!  We hated to miss the second night here, but we had another commitment—so much to do all in one weekend!!
