Pathetic

Our sweet little Clara is usually so happy and upbeat—but there are occasions when life just doesn’t go her way  :)

This particular day a few weeks ago was one such occasion.  We took the dog for a walk in the neighborhood.  The weather was nice enough when we left, but it soon started to thunder some in the distance.  It was from heat and wasn’t worth going back home so we continued on our walk.  Clara still has weather issues so this was NOT a good decision in her book at all!!  She kept demanding we go home and the more we refused the madder she got!  We went to the bayou which is a favorite place for us all and Clara went to pout at a tree.  You could hear her talking out loud about how awful we were to make her continue on this walk and how she wanted to go home.  Then she started FREAKING out—as she apparently was standing on an ant mound and was getting bitten up.  She then RAN full speed to the bayou to put her feet in and kill the ants—which was a good plan.  Problem is the shoes she was wearing were not made for such things, and as soon as she hit the water they slipped out from under her and she fell into the bayou.  I did not get my phone out fast enough to get a shot of her in the bayou, but this is right after.  She is SOAKING WET and miserable.  Being the loving, caring parents that we are—we laughed hysterically!  Lets face it—it was FUNNY!  It wasn’t long after getting home that Clara was laughing about it too  :)  She even asked if I could put it in the memory jar (we are keeping a 2012 jar of memories that we will review on New Years).  Such a good sport!
