Mary Did You Know

Our church had a talent night to celebrate Christmas and it was a great night with many diverse acts!  The girls were asked to be Mary and an angel while a man sang Mary Did You Know.  The poor guy was sick the night of the performance and sounded awful, but the girls were cute as could be.  We made the costumes and I really wish I had a good picture of Lucy in hers, but we don’t.  Mike was the family photographer for the night since I was in the show as well performing with 3 other ladies wearing a malong and doing a Philipino dance to Little Drummer Boy.  Mike got video of that and of Lucy, but no pictures  :(

At the end of the night kids that wanted to join in for the final act were asked to come up on stage and listen to a funny “grandpa” tell a story and then they all got up to sing some Christmas carols.  Clara of course jumped right up front and center!!!  She was completely unfazed by the fact that she didn’t know the words to all the songs they sang.

Lucy cracked us up!  She sang, but for the most part looked as though she was ready to fall asleep!

Next year maybe I will have less on my plate, or be more prepared to have the girls do a little more.  They really wanted to this year, but I just couldn’t fit it all in….
