Mike had an interview with Graphic Packaging in West Monroe, LA and since he was to be there for 2 nights we decided the whole family would tag along. Mike's interview was 8 hours, and best he can tell it went very well. They have one more man to interview next week and will make their decision after that, so hopefully we will know in a couple of weeks if we are LA bound or not.


We went walking at Restoration Park which was pretty cool. It was first a place of mining, then became an illegal dump, and now they have cleaned it up and are allowing the land to restore itself. They have some art throughout made of old "trash" which was a cool nod to its past I thought.

We really enjoyed this long boardwalk that winded through the bayou. We spent a long time observing a water snake. He didn't know we were right above him and it was cool to watch a wild snake just doing its thing :) Clara was less than enthusiastic about watching him, but she warmed up to him in time.
