Horton Mill Covered Bridge

For Science in CC we were doing bridge building and so we thought it would be fun to go to a bridge and check out the structure. We later found out this bridge is the tallest in all of North America. The area was beautiful and was a fun hike!

The girls love discovering caves and crevices to hide in :)

It took me a bit longer to get to the bottom and Lucy was helping me :) You had to scale down the side of this mountain to get down there. We found a much easier way up (which we could have taken down, but didn't know any better). It was fun though! On this "path" Lucy and I found a bone which was quite exciting. We took it to the vet the next day to try to identify it, and all they could do was confirm that it is a vertebrae, but were unable to say exactly what animal it came from. Her guess was a small deer.
