House Of Glass

We went to the Birmingham Museum of Art and really enjoyed it!! This one piece above was fascinating---each of those squares are glass with different things inside. It was really beautiful and I see that the camera did not do it justice.

There are stations throughout the second floor for kids to do their own art work. It is Bart's Art Cart (Bart is a bat---and I can't say that I get the concept, but we enjoyed the art :)

There was a display of spiral art, and as a ode to that they had this spiral art project to do. It reminded me of when I was a kid and would use my old record player to do the same kind of thing :)

This area was cool because we just did the same project at CC when we were studying Rembrandt. They had to look at themselves in the mirror and then draw themselves. Lucy displayed her artwork on the board afterwards and was quite proud that she has a piece hanging in a museum :) Way to go Lucy!!
