Oak Mountain State Park

Now with our quest to find new and exciting places to take Bella for a walk, we finally got to Oak Mountain State Park. I have heard it was great, and we sure did love it!! We were surprised to find out when we got there that there is a large petting farm area. We had to leave Bella in the car for this part (but boy have her and cats checked out shoes out thoroughly after this adventure)!!

There were larger horses there too, but they were not close and wouldn't come up to us to be petted----they were far more interested in eating and hanging out :)

All the female goats were pregnant we were told by the caretaker.

I had to get this picture for Lucy---her two most favorites---a horse and a peacock both together---she said "it just doesn't get any better than this!"

We enjoyed the donkey---it is a Jerusalem donkey which I remembered learning about them before. You can tell them be the big cross on them (you can see the one side near his neck). This is the type of donkey that Jesus rode in to Jerusalem for the triumphal entry.
