Happy Birthday Mike

Mike is now 42 :) Very strange birthday this year, but we are blessed that Mike is another year older :)

We decided not to go to co-0p today. We are so drained mentally and I knew my breakdown was coming (and it did thankfully, hopefully getting that out will clear my head now). So, the morning was spent with the usual of Mike applying and following up anywhere and everywhere. He was blessed with some phone calls to wish him a happy birthday which are always nice :) Especially this year I think.

We did get out which was nice and NEEDED!!!! Away from the computer, away from the house---everything! It was a beautiful day out and we took a nice long walk. Great mentally, but not so great for my feet LOL. I went to the dr. on Tuesday for more cortisone and he gave it to me in my arm----which has done nothing for my feet!! Oh well....I will continue the exercises and if it doesn't get better I will head back to the dr. for cortisone in my FEET :)

Anyway---it was nice to get out and we even learned some about Carl Sandburg (whom I had never heard of before). We went on a free tour through his house and enjoyed walking the grounds very much and visiting the goat farm there. I forgot my camera though and it was too bad as there would have been some great shots of everyone with the goats!

So, all in all, it was a very nice birthday for Mike. It will be very interesting to see where we will be to celebrate it next year :)
