We always forget to give Lucy her allowance, and so we decided that we would give her horse lessons instead and she was THRILLED with that idea!! I found out on the homeschool loop about this woman who lives less than 10 min from here and she is very reasonably priced. I like that she will teach the basics---how to care for the horse, how to saddle the horse all about the tack, how to groom the horse and of course how to ride the horse.
Rambo is a BIG horse and she said she would really prefer a smaller horse for kid lessons, but because of his temperament he is really perfect. This was a very precious horse for sure and we all fell in love with him!
We just went for a meet and greet this day and didn't figure she would actually ride, so this was a real treat. When she first got on she was very unsure and said "I think I just like to look at them, not ride them." :) It didn't take long though for her to feel more comfortable and really enjoy it.
They were quite excited about the horse pooping while Lucy was on it. I thought Clara was really going to get close and personal to truly check it out :)
Lucy is counting down the days until Monday when she gets to go back again.
