Wierd Adults :)

My friend from GA, Cheryl, came to visit and one day we went to Kids Sense. The kids absolutely love it here and it was funny to see4 yet more similarities between Cheryl and I here...

There is a balloon (look high in the pic) that you hit a button and the air inside the balloon heats up, once it reaches a certain degree the balloon is released and quickly floats to the ceiling (of course demonstrating the concept of heat rising and why). We hit the button and waited and waited and waited. It took FOREVER!!! It became a mission after a while that we were not going to leave without seeing this stupid thing go to the ceiling. FINALLY, our "patience" was rewarded with the very anti climatic journey of the balloon to the ceiling. The girls on the other hand did not practice their patience with this demonstration at all and had probably been in about 6 rooms by the time the release occurred. They didn't miss much, but we enjoyed it all the same :)

Downstairs they have this wonderful kids kitchen, but it is always a MESS!!! It drives me batty when I am there and it never fails I will start cleaning it up. I will even stay in there after my kids have left to complete the job. Then you just want to hang a sign that says "No Kids Allowed" LOL. Well, Cheryl and I were sitting at the counter being waited on when we just could not stand it any longer!! That place had no organization whatsoever and needed help!! Not only did we put everything away, but Cheryl had to straighten out the menu pictures as well and organize them according to their category :) Too funny. Lucy joined in on the cleaning fun, but Clara had better things to do.

Would you look at that beautifully straightened up kitchen!!! Later when they were cleaning up for closing, we told them we were pleased to announce that the kitchen had been done :) We shouldn't have to pay to go in, they should pay us :) What was even funnier, was we were sitting in the hallway at one point and behind us was the grocery store. Two little boys were busy playing and shopping and their Grandmother was cleaning the place up. We were watching her and laughing and then had a nice conversation with her about how anal we all are :) At least it isn't just us. When we came home and Cheryl was telling Mike about our adventures and mentioned cleaning up there his response was "you just have to." He has only been there once with us, but I can assure you that when we left that day too, the kitchen was very tidy :)
