Where Our Day Began...

Today was initially just supposed to be a 4 year check up for Clara.

Lucy hurt her foot going up the stairs on Saturday. It swelled up and we have been icing it and elevating it, but honestly didn't think it was a real issue. Well, the swelling wasn't going down and it looked awful, so I called to see if Lucy could be seen at the same time as Clara to make it easier. That wasn't a problem, so that was good.

Before going, Lucy started to get sick---the same symptoms that Clara has had. So, I figured we would really get our money worth and have her checked out from head to foot---literally. Poor Lucy was having bad headaches today and a fever when the Tylenol would wear off.

As for Clara's check up---she is perfectly healthy and is yet again off the charts for height and in the 90th percentile for weight (which is good for her height). Her vision is good, blood pressure good, reflexes---etc. We knew she was getting better, but she still has a nasty sounding cough and was complaining of an ear hurting the other night. Sure enough, she has bronchitis and an ear infections---so no shots for her today. I had myself all psyched up and ready and now we have to do that another day. We don't have to make an appt for that though, just go in and they get you right in for that.

Come to find out Lucy too has bronchitis and so they will both be starting antibiotics. The doctor looked at Lucy's foot and felt around it and said he felt we needed an x-ray, which I was expecting, but honestly, I never thought it was broken...

Here the girls were having a coughing fit. NICE!!
