We went to the Artisan Center, which had great local artwork. At the visitors center we watched a short film that showcased the talented artisans that work along the parkway, and it was cool to come here and then see some of the types of art that we just watched about. You are not allowed to take pictures inside though, so this is the girls outside :)

At the Visitor Center the girls very much enjoyed this lesson on the bridges and how they are made to use gravity to hold them in place. They put the peices together and then with some help from Daddy got it to stand up. They were very proud of themselves. Clara just can't keep a normal face when there is a camera pointed at her---what a goof!!

This is actually the day before when we went to Chesnee. We went to the Cowpens Battlefield. They have a great little film that shows all about the battle, and it was so well done that it really held the girls attention. As we were walking around the battlefield, Lucy would remember things from the film and she was able to follow very well what happened and how it all took place. It was really very cool! Beautiful area, and with the beautiful weather it was great to walk around there!!
