Bubbles and Barbi's...

We were able to use a bubble machine in class today at co-op and the kids absolutely loved it!! They had so much fun jumping in the bubbles, trying to catch the bubbles, popping the bubbles---all of it. It was really cute to watch. They never seemed to get sick of them either. They could have done this all 3 1/2 hours of co-op :) We did have to break from the bubbles to actually learn something though :)

In Lucy's history class they were learning about Egypt and the process of mummification. They all had a Barbi that was to be mummified. Here they all are awaiting their fate :)

This was a messy process!! They pretended to remove the organs (except the heart, that was left in) and prepared the bodies with oil and salt, and then wrapped with fabric and glue (a tad bit different then the actual process :)

The kids really enjoyed doing this as you can tell, Lucy is quite proud of her Mummy Barbi :) She is still drying on the kitchen counter :) We have had to show her off to some neighbors and everyone has heard about how the brain is removed by a hook through the nose. Lucy just thought that was coolest thing ever!!
I was really glad to be able to escape the little kids to participate in this class today. It was cool to watch the kids and I learned a lot too :)
