We are doing a unit study I put together this month on apples since we will be going to an apple orchard on Oct. 1st. So, we did a taste test with six different types of apples. We always get Fuji and we actually found a new favorite apple---Jazz. Never heard of it before :) We had carmel too and the girls really enjoyed this. We went over apple facts and then read about Johnny Appleseed.
All the books say that Johnny Appleseed wore a pot on his head, so the girls immediately ran into the kitchen to get pots on their heads. This was big fun :)
They even got Daddy to join in on the fun. Now, I have to wash all our pots :) It was fun though :) When we finish the study and do all the fun things having to do with apples we will put it all in a lapbook.
