We Had A Visitor :)

We have our cat food in the garage and leave the garage door open some so the cats can come in and out. Every night we get skunks that come to eat the cat food. Usually if we open the door and they are here they scurry out quickly (and thank God they don't spray :) Well, this little fella didn't run away, he stuck around to finish his meal. Let me tell you, this little guy ATE!!!! He is just a baby (we have seen MUCH bigger in here before). We stood in the doorway for quite a while and watched him feast. He was completely unbothered by our presence.

What a CUTIE!!!
Mouse came into the garage and strolled right past him and had absolutely no problem with sharing his food with the skunk! I have seen some cats eat here and the cats are totally fine with that and then there are other cats that the cats go totally crazy if they even so much as step foot on our lawn. I don't know what constitutes a "good" animal and a "bad" animal to our cats, but both Mouse and Sassy agree on them!!
I added this picture above because you can see the skunk in the background--so it's kind of a "where's Waldo" :)

We didn't want Mouse to go back outside and risk him getting sprayed so we hung onto him for a while and we all watched.

The little skunk finished up and instead of doing like the bigger skunks do and just go down through the middle of the garage and out, he squished himself up under the food bin (maybe 2 inches off the ground), then went down the garage under the shelving. He got almost all the way down and turned around and came back. When he emerged he had stuff hanging all off his whiskers and he looked a mess!!! I didn't get a picture of that unfortunately. He was looking a bit more agitated with my presence in MY garage this time, so I figured I better leave well enough alone :) Oh, the girls are going to love these pictures when they get up tomorrow :)
