Bumps

Clara had to go to the dermatologist for "bumps" she has on her skin that are wart like. They are called Muloscum (sp?) and are technically not warts, but in the wart family. Eventually they should go away on their own, but she has had them for at least 6 months now and they are spreading so we want to take care of them now before they get too out of control. Bless her little heart! We are all the time checking out her "bumps" and we even tried to freeze them off on our own and that was pure torture so we decided we couldn't do that any more. Her Pediatrician gave us a cream for them, that was OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive and didn't do a thing. So the next step was a dermatologist. Clara was a bit nervous so I had to do the pull out the camera trick to calm her down and pass the time :)

She is talking up a storm. She is telling me that it is not going to hurt at all, but maybe will tickle :)

Starting to get a bit goofy now :)

Lucy needed to get in on it too :)

What they ended up doing was "painting" the bumps with some medication that is going to bring the inside of the wart out and essentially pop it. So, the procedure didn't hurt at all and Clara was such a big girl! For each one they "painted" they put a little band aid on it and Clara said she was all "decorated." Now that the band aids are coming off though it looks awful! She has open sores and we are praying for quick healing! We can't get all the band aids off either because she freaks out when we get close to them! I'm sure it hurts some, but she is such a trooper! We go back in a month to do the remaining bumps then.

Matthew had the very same thing. We found that silver nitrate, cures it as well. We found bandaides with the silver nitrate in them at Dollar Tree. One week later, they were almost gone. Tell her to hand in there and we willall be praying for a fast healing for her as well.
