The kittens went back to the vet for their second round of shots and to be scheduled for surgery!!
All 3 are good travelers and don’t make much noise. Boaz talks a bit, but he is generally a big talker anyway! Once at the vet, the boys were all about getting out of the carrier and checking the place out.
Esther on the other hand wasn’t about to come out! She was perfectly happy hiding in the back. Clara was loving on her and she was purring, and when we did have to pull her out she did great!!
Little Joey’s back legs shake and shake when he is scared, so to watch him walk around to check it all out was comical—looked like he was doing the booty dance.
Clara was my big helper. Lucy was at a sleep over party, so it was just us two girls! We expected to get lots of great cuddle time with the kittens afterwards since the last shot day they ran fevers and slept for about 24 hours. That was not the case this time though—they were perfectly normal when we got home—which is a good thing :)
They are very healthy and look great! We do have them all scheduled for the end of the month. Boaz is the biggest at 5.78 lbs, Joey right behind at 5.72 and Esther is our little girls at 4.76 lbs. Esther and Joey still have colds (have had that since we have had them) so they are on a supplement to take care of that. Boaz got over his on his own.
We did have someone offer to take a couple of them. I had it set in my mind that we were not going to be able to give them away, so they are fully in our hearts! I did talk to the family about it and the girls and I cried and just can’t stomach the thought at this point, so we had to say no. In all truthfulness, I knew that if we said no, she will go to the pound and save 2 kittens from there, so if I said yes I was essentially killing 2 kittens, and I just couldn’t live with that!! :)
